Seven years ago when I came back from being a missionary in Costa Rica, I told God that I was never going to do that again. Personally, I thought I was very clear about it, but He had other plans for me for sure!
As I mentioned in my post a couple of months ago, I was completely undone as a result of my trip to El Salvador. As a result of that trip and the great work that God has done in my heart over the last couple of months, I am absolutely ecstatic to announce that I will be moving to El Salvador in March of 2013 as a full-time missionary with La Casa de me Padre!
If you haven’t had a chance to check La Casa out yet and find out what they do, I highly recommend that you check out their website by clicking here. Also, please take a minute to check out this short video. Those sweet little faces are hard to resist!
I have some news and announcements coming up in the next few weeks, but in the meantime I wanted to share a couple of things with you that have made an impact on me this summer.
The first is this movie clip from the Dead Poet’s Society. My boss, Brent, and I were having a discussion about some of the things I have been wrestling with this summer and he reminded me of this clip. I have been pumped up and thinking about it ever since then!
The next is a verse I have shared on this blog many times, but that has been echoing in my head all summer and is definitely worth repeating:
19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you(A) that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.(B) Now choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19)
